The Talking Newspaper Organisation

We take our sight so much for granted. Without it, or with failing sight, talking newspapers provide a lifeline to the local news that so many enjoy.

Local ‘talking newspaper’ charities started over 50 years ago, and now number about 500 across Britain helping over 100,000 blind and partially sighted people access news from their local community.

Mole Valley Talking News

Mole Valley Talking News are a group of talking newspapers (TN) who work together for the benefit of Visually Impaired Persons living in Mole Valley and adjacent areas.

The TNs in the group are Dorking & District and Bookham & District Talking Newspapers. Both are Registered Charities run by volunteers.

Each week we read and record articles from Dorking & Leatherhead Advertiser and Surrey Advertiser. We include articles from other local publications such as parish magazines, local reference information and articles on help with sight loss.
In addition you will also receive our monthly “Dorking Talking” and “Mole Valley Talking” magazines full of information, interest and fun!

Each edition is produced by a team of friendly voices and production helpers.
